Served as Jury member of Solar Decathlon Europe 2012 and 2014, Founder and President of the IBPSA-Danube Charter 2010. Published and presented 283 scientific papers in International Journals and Conferences and 9 textbooks. Editor of 2 Monograph “Heat and Mass Transfer in Porous Media”, ICHMT Series, published by Elsevier, and “Spatio Temporal Structure and Chaos in Heat and Mass Transfer Processes” published by Mrljes & Sons; Coordinator of 30 multidisciplinary R&D projects (Building’s Thermal Dynamics, Energy Efficiency, Thermal Energy Storage, Building Performance Simulation, Integrated Sustainable Building Design Methods, Distributed Energy Generation, RES integrated sustainable buildings/HVAC systems, sustainable Zero CO2 emission settlements, etc), and author of more than 90 R&D projects and studies. ASHRAE elected Fellow, 2009 for the “attained unusual distinction in the arts and science of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning or ventilation and made substantial contribution to those arts and sciences”; Recipient of the REHVA Professional Award in Science in recognition of outstanding achievements in science and the improvements of energy efficiency and the indoor environment of buildings 2010. Editor of the Energy and Buildings (Elsevier) and Editorial Board member of the International Journal Global Warming (Inderscience). Elected REHVA Fellow 2011, and Fellow WAAS (World Academy of Art and Science) 2012. Provided numerous producers with design methods and thermal equipment prototypes, and lecturing extensively and working as member of ASHRAE, REHVA, UNESCO and other international organizations made substantial impact worldwide.
