Dr Radonjanin Vlastimir

Vlastimir Radonjanin is a Full professor at the University of Novi Sad, Head of academic doctoral studies “Civil Engineering” and Head of specialist academic studies “Energy efficiency in buildings”. He is Chair of Cathedra of building materials, assessment, and repair of structures and was Director of Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy and Head of Laboratory for testing of materials and structures at Faculty of Technical Sciences – Novi Sad. He led or participated in more than 20 national and international scientific and research projects including IPA, Eureka, COST, and Bilateral. He was one of the creators of the curriculum of bachelor, master and doctoral studies of Civil Engineering at Faculty of technical sciences, as well as the founder of first specialist academic studies “Energy efficiency in buildings” in Serbia. He also created and implemented a number of new subjects in Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety studies, Civil Engineering studies and Architecture studies at the University of Novi Sad, University of Banja Luka, University of Nis and the University of Kragujevac. He is a specialist in assessment and repair of structures damaged in fire or earthquake and published a number of papers in this field. He has published more than 300 scientific papers in national and international conferences and in national and international journals. In SCI journals he published 17 scientific papers and was cited more than 300 times in international journals. He is a co-author of the paper “GRAC – Green Recycled Aggregate Concrete” which was awarded as “best research paper” at International conference in Edinburgh in 2012. He is President of Commission “Concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete” in Institute of Standardization of Serbia and was President of Society of testing and research of materials and structures of Serbia and President of Civil Engineering Society of Novi Sad. He was president or member of the Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee of many national and international conferences.
