Prof Dr Antonello Stella
associate professor at the University of Ferrara, Italy
Antonello Stella was born in Legnano (Milano) in 1961. He graduated in 1990 at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with prof. Maria Luisa Anversa; assistant supervisor prof. Giangiacomo D’Ardi as professors. In 1992 he was admitted to attend the Architectural Design PhD program, accomplished in 1996, at the Architectural and Urban Design Department of University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a design thesis entitled “Rail Spaces, Rail Times. Urban Spaces, Urban Times”. In 1998 he became a teaching fellow in architectural design in University of Ferrara, School of Architecture and still today he is teaching there. In 2002-2003 he was a substitute assistant professor in University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Valle Giulia School of Architecture.
He was the responsible designer, within the school design team, for the New Building for University of Ferrara, School of Economics, inside the historical Palazzo Costabili-Bevilaqua in the historical centre of Ferrara, opened in September 2006. He is supervisor of numerous graduation thesis with subjects connected to rail and river infrastructures and landscape at University of Ferrara and “Valle Giulia” in Rome.
In 1991 he founds, with others, n!studio of architecture starting a common theoretical and design research. From 1997 he founds within n!studio the Professional Association FerriniFumoSaniStella architetti associati and from 2002
